ODESZA is an American electronic music duo who released the song in 2022 for their new album, The Last Goodbye. The song is a cover of the original track written by Bettye LaVette in 1965, called Let Me Down Easy. You can find the original version here on Youtube.
The original song is a perfect example of classic soul music, whereas the ODESZA cover is a modern EDM song, with Bettye’s voice in the key moments. And her scream “Let Me Down Easy” gave an elegant touch also to the Apple commercial.
