Yeat, Flawless: the song lyrics and their meaning

Posted by

Flawless is one of the tracks from the album Lyfë, released by the rapper Yeat on September 2022. The song became very popular after the album’s release because it features Lil Uzi Vert, a frequent collaborator for Yeat. After Talk, the other track we already analyzed from that album, this article will explain this song’s meaning and provide the complete lyrics at the end.

You can find the official streaming of the song below.

Flawless: the lyrics and their meaning

Similarly to what Yeat said in Talk, also Flawless is a song where the two rappers brag about the money and their success. Yeat is a well-known personality in the rap community as an artist who arrived recently but has already gained huge success. Already in 2021, he claimed to have a six figures music contract, and in this song, he confesses that he’s doubling and tripling that king of earnings.

The chorus is the part owned by Yeat: he talks about the money and the luxury objects he has, mentioning his beloved Tonka (the SUV mentioned in many of his songs), the Bentley Mulsanne (another luxury car), the money that appears visible on his body (the comparison with cysts) and the fact that he managed to multiply the million dollars he made in the past. The “Perc” mentioned refers to Percocet, an opioid pain reliever.

You don’t exist
Take a Perc’ in the Tonka, that’s it
Money swollen like cyst, huh
They done put faith in the kid, huh
Look at the Bentley Mulsanne in my hanger
The big body peel off the road, watch it spin (Woo)
I’m the one, got a million dollars
I doubled that s**t, then I tripled again

Lil Uzi Vert hosts the stage during the song’s verse, and the message stays the same: his lines show off the symbols of his success, mentioning fashion brands like Marni, Cartier, and Balenciaga as symbols of the luxury he can afford. He also mentions “Heartless,” the song where he appeared in The Weeknd’s After Hours album. From his lines, the rapper appears as a top element of the scene, one of those who play only at the highest level (“When I play golf, only time for a par,” he says, referring to the performances of expert golf players).

Even though she is in love, I am still heartless, yeah (Heartless, yeah)
Mixed up the party pack, popped like a molly
I was the first young n**a rockin’ Marni
Young n**a, yeah, I’m raw like Maaly (Ha, ha, Maaly)
Yeah, I’m so raw I don’t need to use a condom (I don’t use a what?), I’m sorry
When I play golf, only time for a par

The core meaning of the lyrics is that the two rappers are just Flawless: without imperfections, they are the best in their category. And the way they rap intends to prove it.

Audemar watch cost me a new car (Hah)
Marry my b* *h and I treat her like Marge
Shuzoes my sneaker and I still take the Parras
Yeah, shoutout my twizzy

This Percocet right here, this s**t got me dizzy
When life give you lemons, then crush that, it’s Simply
N**as, they rats, they like mice, they like Minnie and Mickey
Rock Balenciaga on Dickie
I got two stupid ass Glocks and it came with the switch
And ideally I ran it up stiffy
I was the one that was in here doin’ business
I was who mixin’ the Perc’ and the Bennie
I was the one who was pushin’ the limit (I was the one)

Run up the numbers like it was a scrimmage
Ran up the bands on you broke a– n**as
Ran up them ba-a-ands (Where yo’ bands?)
I got them racks all in my own pants
You n**as fa-a-ans (F**k yo’ fans)

You don’t exist
Take a Perc’ in the Tonka, that’s it
Money swollen like cyst, huh
They done put faith in the kid, huh
Look at the Bentley Mulsanne in my hanger
The big body peel off the road, watch it spin (Woo)
I’m the one, got a million dollars (Woo)
I doubled that **it, then I tripled again

Flawless, flawless, flawless, flawless, yeah (Tripled again)
Flawless, flawless, flawless, flawless, yeah (Tripled again)
Flawless, flawless, flawless, flawless, yeah (Tripled again)
