As Indiewire revealed in this article, one day during the filmmaking Harry Styles called the director Olivia Wilde and asked about this trigger song. Olivia said she was still supposed to contact a set of songwriters and see what would come to their mind, but she asked Harry if he was thinking about something. Harry Styled hung up, sat at his piano, and composed a melody “in five minutes.” When Olivia listened to it, she was surprised: “Yeah, that’s it. That’s it. And that’s really insane that you did that in five minutes,” she said to Harry Styles.
That became With You All The Time, the song Harry Styles wrote for Don’t Worry Darling: it’s the “trigger song” that haunts the main characters Jack and Alice in many scenes in the movie. Harry Styles doesn’t sing in the song, he only plays the piano.
