It’s a collaboration with Drake, and each of them own a half of the song, rapping about their relationshiup with the loved ones. However, the message expressed by them is slightly different. Wait for U talks about how hard it is to maintain a sentimental relationship when you are a famous rapper, traveling around the world and facing your own demons with drugs and alcohol. Both Future and Drake give a personal persperctive on the matter.
First part is owned by Future. The situation here looks clear: Future has a girl who really loves him and who’s trying her best to cope with the rapper’s lifestyle. “You pray for my demons, girl, I got you” is a meaningful line: Future is living a fight inside himself, and that affects of course the relationship, but she’s supportive, she waits for him. And she prays for him. He recognize her presence always close to him.
